Post-natal and Core Yoga/Pilates with Alice (ENG./D.)
Classes are designed to gently and progressively build strength and balance throughout the body. We will focus on waking up the reflexive core, in other words encouraging the deep abdominal muscles to turn on when needed, rather than bracing, breath-holding, and muscling through. The class environment is informal and supportive. Classes use moves and concepts from Yoga and Pilates as well as modern movement science.
This class draws strongly on Alice’s ongoing study with Lauren Ohayon and her Restore Your Core programme. It is great for postnatal women, and people with diastasis recti, prolapse, sneeze pee or back pain may find it particularly helpful. Pre-crawling babies are welcome to attend. The class is also open to people who are many years post-partum, or who simply feel they have a sleepy core.
